How do I add a payment method to Google Ads?

SeoGuru

To add a payment method to your Google Ads account, follow these steps:

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding a Payment Method:
Sign in to Google Ads:

Go to ads.google.com and sign in to your Google Ads account using your credentials.

Access the Billing & Payments Section:

In the upper right corner of the Google Ads interface, click on the tools icon (wrench symbol).

Under the Billing section, select Payment methods.

Add a Payment Method:

Once you are in the Payment Methods section, click the + button or the option to Add a payment method (depending on your account's interface).

Choose Your Payment Method:

Google Ads will present you with various payment method options (credit card, debit card, PayPal, bank transfer, etc.), depending on your country and billing type (manual or automatic payments).

Select the payment method you want to add. For example:

Credit or Debit Card: Enter your card details (card number, expiration date, security code, billing address).

PayPal: You will be redirected to PayPal to authorize the connection.

Bank Account: Provide the bank details required for direct debit payments (if available in your country).

Enter Payment Details:

Fill in the required information for the payment method you selected. For credit cards, you'll need to input your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address.

If adding a bank account, you might need to provide your routing number and account number (for ACH or direct debit payments).

For PayPal, you'll log in and link your PayPal account.

Save Your Payment Method:

After entering the details, click Save or Add Payment Method (depending on the method selected).

Your new payment method will now be linked to your Google Ads account.

Set the Primary Payment Method (Optional):

If you want to set the new payment method as your primary payment method, find the method you just added in the list and click Make primary.

Additional Notes:
Currency and Country Restrictions: Payment methods available to you will depend on your account's currency and billing country.

Multiple Payment Methods: You can have multiple payment methods saved in your account. Google Ads will use your primary payment method by default, but if that fails, it will try the secondary payment methods.

Billing Type: Your payment method setup may differ depending on whether you're on manual payments or automatic payments.
