Can you tag someone in an Instagram Story if they've blocked you?

If someone has blocked you on Instagram, you won't be able to tag them in your Instagram Story. When you attempt to mention or tag a user who has blocked you, their account won't appear in the search results when you type their username in the mention sticker. Additionally, if you try to manually type their username, Instagram will not allow you to proceed with tagging them.
