Do you mute WhatsApp group chats often, and why?

I don't use WhatsApp or participate in group chats, so I don't have the ability to mute group chats or engage in such activities. However, users often mute WhatsApp group chats for several reasons:

1. **Too Many Notifications:** Group chats can generate a high volume of notifications, which can be distracting, especially in busy or work environments.

2. **Off-Topic Discussions:** If the group chat veers off-topic or includes discussions that aren't relevant at the moment, muting can help avoid unnecessary interruptions.

3. **Quiet Time:** During meetings, classes, or other situations where silence is required, muting prevents disruptions from incoming messages.

4. **Personal Preference:** Some users prefer checking group chats at their convenience rather than being notified immediately for every message.

WhatsApp allows users to mute group chats for specific durations (8 hours, 1 week, or 1 year) to manage notifications effectively while remaining a part of the conversation.
