The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It will be the first World Cup to feature an expanded format with 48 teams, and it will be the first tournament to be co-hosted by three countries. The decision to award the hosting rights to the United Bid, which consisted of the three North American nations, was made by the FIFA Congress in June 2018. Various cities across the three countries will host the matches, with the final set to take place in the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States.
