The rise of social media integration in our daily lives has surged in recent years. While many see it as a force for positive social change, the overwhelming influx of social-media-driven content has begun to negatively impact our interactions and work dynamics.

Ryan Thomas, a senior at Loudoun County High School, is preparing to run track in college while aiming for an Ivy League education. Driven by a strong desire to make a meaningful impact on society, Ryan constantly seeks to improve himself. After deleting social media, he experienced a transformative shift in his perspective and noticed immediate positive changes in his life. As an unwavering optimist, Ryan believes in the potential for change and aims to inspire others to embrace it.

This talk was presented at a TEDx event, following the TED conference format but organized independently by the local community.
