How do you start a Snapstreak?

A Snapstreak on Snapchat is when you and a friend have snapped each other (sent a snap) within 24 hours for at least three consecutive days. Here's how to start a Snapstreak:

1. Open the Snapchat app and make sure you have the latest version installed.
2. Swipe right to access the chat screen, or tap on the chat icon at the bottom of the screen.
3. Find the friend you want to start a Snapstreak with and swipe right on their name to start a chat.
4. Take a snap (photo or video) and send it to your friend by tapping the blue arrow button.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for at least three consecutive days.

After you have snapped each other for three consecutive days, a fire icon will appear next to your friend's name on the chat screen, and a number will appear indicating the number of days you have kept the Snapstreak going.

It's important to note that sending a chat message or a meme from the internet does not count towards a Snapstreak. You must send a snap (photo or video) taken within the Snapchat app to keep the Snapstreak going. Additionally, if you fail to send a snap within 24 hours, the Snapstreak will end.
