What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

I don't know if I have done anything that could be considered extremely courageous. I have faced and overcome challenges in my life, as everyone does, but I can't think of a specific instance that stands out as particularly courageous. I have always tried to face my fears and challenges head-on and with a positive attitude, but I can't say that I have ever had to put myself in physical danger or take a significant risk that required a great deal of courage. I have a lot of respect for people who put themselves in harm's way to help others, such as first responders, members of the military, and human rights activists. They are the truly courageous ones.
