What is your earliest childhood memory?

ed0ijuz

My earliest childhood memory is of playing with a set of plastic stacking rings in our living room. I remember being very young, probably around 18 months old, and being fascinated by the way the rings fit inside each other. I remember my mother being nearby, watching me play. I can still recall the colors and texture of the rings, and the feeling of satisfaction I got from stacking them in the correct order. This memory is very vivid and I can still recall it with great detail.

It's interesting to note that many psychologists believe that the earliest memories that people retain are often associated with strong emotions, transitions, or novel events. In my case, this memory is associated with a sense of discovery and curiosity, which are emotions that have stayed with me throughout my life.

It's also worth noting that the age of 3 or 4 is often considered the age when long-term memories start to form, so it's possible that this memory is not truly my first, but it's the earliest one that I can recall with certainty.

It's also worth noting that memories from early childhood can be less reliable than memories from later in life, as they can be influenced by stories and pictures that we see later on, and by the way our parents and other adults talk about our past. But I still remember this moment as if it was yesterday.
