How do I remove a payment method from my Facebook Ads account?

To remove a payment method from your Facebook Ads account, follow these steps. Keep in mind that you must have at least one valid payment method set up before removing an old one. If you want to remove your only payment method, you'll need to add a new one first.

🔹 Steps to Remove a Payment Method:
On Desktop:
Go to Ads Manager

Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner, then select Billing.

In the Billing Overview section, click Payment Settings.

Under Payment Methods, you'll see a list of all the payment methods linked to your account.

Find the payment method you want to remove.

If it's not the primary payment method, click the three dots (⋯) next to it.

Select Remove.

Important Notes:
Cannot remove the primary method: If it's your primary payment method, Facebook will require you to add a new payment method before you can remove it.

Remove only after adding a new method: If you only have one payment method and want to remove it, add another method first, then you can safely remove the original one.

Open the Facebook app or go to your browser and visit Ads Manager.

Tap the menu (☰) and select Billing.

Select the payment method you want to remove.
