To create a split test (also known as A/B test) for Facebook Ads, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Facebook Ads Manager: Start by logging into your Facebook account and navigating to the Ads Manager.

2. Click on "Create": In the top left corner of the Ads Manager, click on the green "Create" button to start creating a new campaign.

3. Choose your objective: Select the objective for your campaign. Note that not all objectives support A/B testing. The objectives that support A/B testing are: Brand Awareness, Reach, Traffic, App Installs, Lead Generation, Conversions, and Video Views.

4. Set up your ad set: After choosing your objective, you'll need to set up your ad set. This includes selecting your audience, budget, and schedule.

5. Create your first version of the ad: Next, you'll need to create your first version of the ad. This includes selecting the images, videos, or other creative assets you want to use, as well as writing the ad copy and choosing the call-to-action button.

6. Create your second version of the ad: Once you've created your first version of the ad, click on the "Create Variation" button to create a second version of the ad. You can change any element of the ad that you want to test, such as the image, ad copy, or call-to-action button.

7. Set up the split test: After creating your two versions of the ad, you'll need to set up the split test. To do this, click on the "Create Split Test" button in the ad set level. Choose the variable you want to test, such as the creative, audience, or delivery optimization.

8. Name your split test: Give your split test a name that describes the variable you're testing.

9. Set the test duration: Choose how long you want the split test to run. Facebook recommends running the test for at least 3-14 days to ensure that you get accurate results.

10. Set the budget: Decide how much budget you want to allocate to the split test. Facebook will automatically divide the budget evenly between the two versions of the ad.

11. Launch the split test: Once you've set up the split test, click on the "Publish" button to launch the campaign.

12. Monitor the results: After launching the split test, monitor the results to see which version of the ad performs better. You can view the results in the Ads Manager by clicking on the "Split Test" tab. Once the test is complete, you can choose to use the winning version of the ad for the rest of your campaign.
