How to Obtain and Utilize Bing Ad Grants for Nonprofits
(Updated for 2025)

Bing (Microsoft Advertising) doesn't offer a nonprofit-specific ad grant program quite as well-known as Google's Ad Grants — but Microsoft does have a program for eligible nonprofits that includes free advertising credits, along with other powerful tools. Here's how to access and use those Bing Ad Grants (via Microsoft for Nonprofits) to boost your mission.

✅ Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
To access Microsoft's nonprofit benefits — including Microsoft Ads credits — your organization must:

Be a registered nonprofit or NGO in an eligible country

Hold valid charitable status (501(c)(3) in the U.S., for example)

Operate on a not-for-profit basis

Be mission-aligned with Microsoft's guidelines (e.g., not a political or labor organization)

🎁 Step 2: Apply for Microsoft for Nonprofits
Go to: nonprofit.microsoft.com

Click "Apply Now" and complete your organization's registration

Wait for approval (usually within 10 business days)

Once approved, you gain access to a suite of nonprofit tools:

Microsoft 365 Business Premium

Azure credits

Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit

And Microsoft Ads for Social Impact

💸 Step 3: Access Microsoft Ads Grants
While there isn't a formal "Bing Ad Grant" like Google's $10K/month program, Microsoft provides:

Advertising credits for Microsoft Ads (formerly Bing Ads)

Customized support through the Microsoft Ads for Social Impact team

💡 This program includes free advertising credits to help your nonprofit run campaigns across Bing, Yahoo, and AOL search networks.

🚀 Step 4: Set Up and Use Microsoft (Bing) Ads
Once you've received your credits:

A. Create a Microsoft Ads Account

Sign in with your nonprofit account

Choose your objective (website visits, donations, sign-ups, etc.)

B. Build a Campaign
Use relevant keywords that match donor intent

Write clear, call-to-action-driven ad copy

Link to a dedicated landing page (not just your homepage)

🎯 Target by:

Location (city/state/country)

Age groups (if applicable)

Device type

Day/time (for event-driven campaigns)

C. Track Performance
Install Microsoft UET (Universal Event Tracking) tag on your website

Measure clicks, conversions, sign-ups, donations

Use insights to tweak ads over time
